Coaching

An hour that is entirely yours

Room to be honest, Scripture to stand on, and a next step you can actually take.

Life coaching gets described in a lot of complicated ways. Here is mine: we meet, you tell me the truth about where you are, and together we figure out the next faithful thing. Then I walk with you while you do it.

I am not going to hand you a five-step system. Your life is not a system. What I will do is listen carefully, ask better questions than the ones you have been asking yourself, and keep pointing us both back to what God says is true about you.

Who this is for

You might be in the right place if

At a crossroads

A decision is sitting in front of you and you have talked yourself in circles. You want to choose well, not just choose fast.

Life shifted, and you’re struggling

An empty nest, a hard stretch in marriage, a move, a loss, caregiving you did not plan for. The old rhythms stopped working, and you need one place where you do not have to pretend.

Ready to grow on purpose

Nothing is falling apart. You simply do not want to drift, and you want someone honest in your corner while you take the next step.

What to expect

How a session goes

Most sessions run about an hour, by video call or phone, whichever is easier for you.

1

We start where you are

No warm-up questionnaire. You talk, I listen, and we name what is actually going on.

2

We hold it up to the truth

We look at what you are believing about the situation, and what God says about it.

3

We choose one next step

Something small, specific, and doable before we talk again. One step, not twelve.

4

We pray, and I follow up

We close in prayer, and I check in between sessions so the step does not get lost.

In their words

What working together has meant

“Working with Geri has been such a blessing in my life.

“She has helped me navigate challenging seasons with compassion and unwavering faith to help me find hope and clarity again. Rather than just offering advice, she consistently points me back to biblical principles, reminding me to trust God even when my circumstances felt overwhelming and uncertain.

“Her ability to listen without judgment and encourage me with Scripture gave me the strength to face personal challenges with a renewed perspective. Through her coaching, I’ve grown not only emotionally but also spiritually. I’ve learned to rely more on God’s promises, approach life’s difficulties with faith instead of fear, and experience a deeper sense of peace.

“I’m truly grateful for the support, wisdom, and genuine care. If you’re looking for a life coach who leads with integrity, faith, and a heart for helping others grow in their relationship with God, I wholeheartedly recommend Geri. Her impact on my life has been lasting, and I thank God for placing her in my path.”

“Geri was amazing in guiding and supporting me through a very painful period of unforgiveness and offense.

“She offered Godly counsel and helped me to process the offense, grief and anger I was feeling from the unforgiveness. Because of her guidance and support I was able to forgive and identify the root cause of my unforgiveness, which was pride. I felt such freedom and joy when I was able to release the unforgiveness. Geri was so intentional in never making me feel shame or condemnation and offering compassion and understanding throughout the entire process of my healing journey.”

Getting started

Session options

First conversation

Free, about 30 minutes

A no-obligation call so we can meet, hear what is on your mind, and decide together whether coaching makes sense for this season.

Single session

60 minutes

One focused hour on one specific thing. Good when you have a decision to make or a knot to work through and you do not need an ongoing commitment.

Ongoing coaching

2 x 60 minutes sessions per month

Regular sessions plus check-ins between them. This is where the real change tends to happen, because someone is walking with you over time.

Good to know

Questions people ask

Is coaching the same as counseling or therapy?

No, and this matters. Counseling and therapy are licensed clinical work that often looks backward to heal wounds and treat diagnosed conditions. Coaching looks forward: where you are, where God is leading, and what the next step is. If what you are carrying needs clinical care, I will say so plainly and help you find someone qualified. Sometimes people do both, and that is a good thing.

Do I have to be a Christian to work with you?

You do not. I coach from a Christian worldview and I will not hide that, so scripture and prayer are part of how I work. If that sounds like something you want in the room, you are welcome here regardless of where you are with faith right now.

How long do people usually work with you?

It varies. Some people come for a single conversation about one decision. Others meet with me for a few months while they walk through a season. We will talk about what makes sense for you rather than locking you into a package.

Is what I say confidential?

Yes. What you share with me stays with me. The one exception is the ordinary one: if someone is in danger, I will act to get help.

Do we meet in person or online?

Most sessions happen by video call or phone, which keeps things simple no matter where you live. If you are local and would rather meet in person, ask me about it.

What if I do not know what to bring to the first call?

Then bring that. "I do not know where to start" is a perfectly good place to start, and honestly it is where a lot of good conversations begin.

A professional’s view

From a licensed therapist

“Geri is an exceptionally wise, caring and insightful counselor. She offers sensitive and practical help, all while using biblical truths.

“Geri has a beautiful and successful marriage that she’s worked hard to get, and raised wonderful, God-loving, accomplished children. You will find her to be a fountain of wisdom along with having a compassionate heart. She is direct and firm, but always caring. She is a true treasure, and if you have the opportunity to spend time with her, you will not regret it!”
